MIXSIG
MIXSIG presents a new type of collaboration within HIIT. It brings together researchers with expertise from various backgrounds with a common interest:
digital music
MIXSIG
Is not a single project
Is not a traditional research group
MIXSIG unites tacit knowledge and methodological competence from several disciplines
MIXSIG has some main challenges that influence our selection of research questions:
Given that "how (we acquire)" music issue is settled HOW do we select the music we want? Can abandon the old music interface concepts to provide a new types of musical experiences?
MIXSIG
Spans several existing research groups:
– Ubiquitous interaction (UIx) [1]
– Adaptive computing (AC) [2]
– Digital content communities (DCC) [3]
– Empirical law & economy (ELE) [4]
MIXSIG is presently related to following activities:
• Musiquitous (2009-2012) @UIX [5]
• EMOKEITAI (2009-2011) @DCC [6]
• DCM, Laila (2008-2010) @ELE
• Cappella@AC
