Present activities

Since 1.1.2009, I am Principal Scientist at the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology.

HIIT is a joint research unit of the University of Helsinki and the Helsinki University of Technology focusing in advanced and basic strategic research in information and communications technologies jointly with leading Finnish and international companies and academia. With Dr. Giulio Jacucci and Dr. Antti Oulasvirta, I co-lead the Ubiquitous Interaction research group at HIIT. I also participate in the preparation activities of the Aalto University, and especially its role in the EIT initiative.

Until 31.12.2008 I was the Research Director of the Advanced Research Unit of HIIT.
