Accessibility status of the hiit.fi website

The hiit.fi website largely meets the requirements for accessibility. The most significant deficiencies are the following:

  • Some content is in the form of pdf files. Most of these files were published prior to 23 September 2018 and only a small proportion of new content is published in pdf format for practical reasons.
  • Some images are missing descriptions (alt texts). Most of these images are decorative and our objective is to provide an alt text in all non-decorative images.
  • Videos published prior to 23 September 2018 are missing subtitles.

We are training our staff in providing content in accessible form and monitoring our website’s accessibility status.
