Shijing He is a HIIT Postdoctoral Fellow at Aalto University, working with Dr. Verena Distler. He completed his PhD in Computer Science at King's College London. His research lies at the intersection of usable privacy and security, human-computer interaction (HCI), and emerging technologies. His work explores privacy and security challenges in complex social and multi-user contexts, including shared smart homes, human–AI intimate relationships, and generative AI-enabled social engineering. At Aalto, his research focuses on relational privacy and security risks in AI-mediated interactions, using human-centered and empirical approaches to inform the design of safer technologies.
