Cybersecurity is the protection of computer systems and networks from the theft of or damage to their hardware, software, or electronic data, as well as from the disruption or misdirection of the services they provide. This research area studies secure systems including human factors, software and hardware.
Members of our larger Helsinki ICT community also provide funding for researchers as Postdoctoral Researchers. Researchers in these positions are hired to work on self-funded projects or in externally funded research groups. More information about these self-funded projects and research groups are listed below.

Firewalls and isolation
We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join an ongoing Academy of Finland project on network-layer isolation and firewall-like policies. The goal is to develop both evaluation and implementation methods for filtering connections in modern networks, such as the internal networks of cloud services or embedded systems.
Cloud and software security
We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher or research fellow in the broad areas of cloud systems security, software security, or security testing. In addition to research aiming for publications, the selected person should be interested in developing education and in industry collaboration in the area.
