Laura Ruotsalainen is Associate Professor of Spatiotemporal Data Analysis for Sustainability Science at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Helsinki. Her current research interests include the development of computer vision, estimation and machine learning algorithms for creating and using accurate and reliable spatiotemporal data, namely navigation data, especially for the development of autonomous systems enabling sustainable smart cities.

Pasi Nikama is SVP marketing and customer relations in ANS Finland. He has worked in ATCO since 1994, as ATC instructor / chief instructor in Avia College from 1999 to 31.3.2007, as Traffic manager in Oulu Airport from 2007 to 2009. He has been appointed as Chief of ACC Finland (2009–2014), Vice president in ANS development (2015–2017) and since 2017 as Senior Vice President,  marketing and customer relations. He is still keeping his ATCO license valid as ACC controller and supervisor.

Markku Mylly started his maritime career in the Finnish Merchant Shipping 1973. He attended the Rauma Maritime College of the Satakunta University of Applied Science, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in maritime studies and qualifying as an Officer and Master Mariner in 1980. He sailed on Finnish ships until 1987 when he joined the Finnish Maritime Administration (FMA).  Mr. Mylly held various positions in the FMA between 1987 and 2009. Lastly he served as Director General in FMA from 2004 up to the end of 2009.  From the beginning of 2010 until September 2012 he served as CEO in The Finnish Port Association. He worked as Executive director of European Maritime Safety Agency, EMSA from 2012 to the end of 2018 when he retired.  Mr. Mylly is continuing to lecture in different European Maritime Universities as a guest lecturer.
