Title: Max-Min Diversification with Asymmetric Distances
Abstract: The Max-Min Diversification (MMD) problem is a fundamental model for diversity maximization in metric spaces. The Asymmetric MMD problem relaxes the MMD problem by allowing asymmetric distances, while retaining the triangle inequality. I will discuss approximation algorithms for both problems, and highlight some open problems regarding the asymmetric case.
