Human-centric computing

Human-Centric Computing (HCC) is a research area at the intersection of computing, interaction technologies, and human-centered design. It utilizes transdisciplinary approaches to critically research, design, develop, and evaluate both current and emerging technologies (as well as the behaviors, processes, models, practices, and experiences surrounding them) across human, artificial, and non-human actors, while assessing impacts on individuals, society, and ecosystems. The field draws on scholarship and practice from computer science, cognitive science, psychology, sociology, anthropology, media and the arts, design, education, ethics, public policy, and related areas.
