A Multisensory Sauna Experience in VR

Researchers in Yu Xiao’s group are using virtual reality and garments that can transfer heat to study how people experience touch, temperatures and textures in real and virtual sauna conditions. This requires combining garments that can transfer heat, studying how people experience touch, temperature and textures in VR, and comparing and testing actual and virtual sauna conditions with real people.
