You are invited to the first HIIT Quantum Software Day at the University of Helsinki Kumpula campus on Friday 3.2.2023, intended for all quantum-curious computer scientists.

 

The aim is to both introduce the relevance of quantum computing for CS (morning) and share results and discuss ongoing quantum software and algorithm research within Finnish academia and industry  (afternoon). The target audience is people interested in quantum software and its applications. No prior knowledge of quantum computing is required for participation.

 

The tentative program consists of:

 

9:00-10:30 Lecture: Quantum computing for dummies Massimo Equi Room B123 Exactum
10:30-10:45 Coffee
10:45-11:45 Keynote talk Alexandru Paler Room B123 Exactum
11:45-12:00 Poster overview Arianne Meijer
12:00 Free lunch at Unicafe (lunch tickets available for registered participants)
14:00-17:00 Poster session
15:00 Wine, coffee, free discussion, networking, and idea generation around quantum software

 

 

The event takes place in Exactum building, Pietari Kalmin katu 5, in Helsinki

 

If you are working on quantum computing we would like to have your poster at the event. We welcome posters about work in progress, visions, or published results. Previously presented posters are also highly appreciated.
